A manufacturer of paper-based countertops, Richlite offers a collection of warm and natural-feeling surface materials that breathe new life into the kitchen, bath and office. This unique paper surface brings a soft and comfortable ambience to a room that’s rarely achieved through cold, hard stone and plastic solid surfaces. It’s made from environmentally sustainable resources and is an attractive, durable, long-lasting material that complements a variety of design tastes. Please see a previous Intectural blog post for more images here.
New Stratum
Richlite® partnered with Smith & Fong Plyboo® to create a layered paper and bamboo surface material called Stratum. The Earth’s surface is composed of diverse layers of rock and soil formed by natural forces that enable life to thrive on the surface. A stratum is a bed of earth with consistent composition naturally laid amid visually distinct layers.
Natural beauty, longevity and sustainability give Richlite Stratum a mark of distinction in the architectural community. It’s a versatile building material with character that complements rugged to refined designs from contemporary urban centers to rustic mountain hideaways. The main design element is the beauty of the Plyboo edge grain core embedded between the Richlite.
